Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Donation Refunds

FIRE (Foundation for Indigents & Rural Empowerment) follows a reliable refund policy to let our donors feel privileged about their association with us. We take utmost care about processing donations as per the mandates signed by our donors in the donor forms, both offline and online.

However, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if the donor wants to cancel the donation, FIRE will respond to the donor within 7 working days of receiving a valid request for refund from the donor.

2. Criteria for Refund

Refunds will be entertained only under the following circumstances:

  • Erroneous Transfer: If a donation was made by mistake or the amount was incorrect.
  • Duplicate Transaction: If the same donation was processed twice due to a technical glitch.
  • Unauthorized Transaction: If the donor's account was used without their permission (subject to bank verification).

3. Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected] with the following details:

  • Date of Donation
  • Donation Amount
  • Transaction ID / Reference Number
  • Reason for Refund
  • Proof of Deduction (Bank Statement/Screenshot)

Refunding the amount will depend on the mode of payment and may take 7-15 working days to reflect in your account.

4. Non-Refundable Donations

Once a tax exemption certificate (80G) has been issued for a donation, we may not be able to process a refund in compliance with Income Tax regulations.
